D & D & Me
Posted by Mike - April 25, 2007 at 12:04:10 pmSo for the past few months I’ve been playing a role-playing game with a coworker once a month. This is not your wimpy video game like Final Fantasy or World of Warcraft. This is hardcore role-playing, Dungeons & Dragons style. Actually it’s called Arcana Evolved, but it’s apparently very similar to D&D. Anyway, I came across this video and thought it was pretty funny.
On the Spot
Posted by Mike - April 23, 2007 at 09:04:59 amOne of the things I like to show people when they come and visit me at the office is the GameSpot Live studio where they film video reviews, previews and some shows. On the Spot is GameSpot’s weekly live show where they show off new games and talk to developers and such. They’ll be quick to tell you that the best part is the viewer feedback, and I agree. An editor decided it would be a good idea to do a behind the scenes for the show, and here it is.

Silly defense, you can’t stop me!!
Posted by Mike - April 19, 2007 at 08:04:59 amA Post and a Picture
Posted by Jules - April 15, 2007 at 08:04:58 pmSince Mike just posted so many pictures, I shall have to post one of my own. Tada!

This was while we were waiting in line for the wanda sykes comedy routine at Punchline. I was extremely hungry, but no food places were open in that area of SF at 9 30. So I had to make do with a bag of caramel corn from a nearby theater. As you can see, I became very irate and attacked mike with it.
In other news, we headed to Lake Anza today and took a short hike. It was a really nice day, so I was surprised by how much parking there was in the parking lot. We attempted to name as many plants as we could, but realized that we had forgotten quite a few. It’s pretty sad. Maybe we need to start going on hikes with notebooks in hand. Our future hikes will be punctuated with shouts of “Polystichum!” “Cucurbitaceae!” “Saxifragaceae!”… doubtless startling hikers into hightailing in the opposite direction from two deranged, notebook waving humans.

[09:38 AM] Me: still there
[09:38 AM] Me: thanks
[09:38 AM] Coworker: hrm.
[09:38 AM] Coworker: np.
[09:39 AM] Coworker: just keep in mind that if you happen to lose a leg, you can always attach a machine gun.
