An Apple a Day
Posted by Mike - November 1, 2007 at 05:11:08 pmLast night Jules and I went to the Apple store and picked up a few goodies. iWork for her and the newer Apple keyboard for me.

It’s pretty nice. Sounds like a laptop when you’re typing. It also feels a little more comfortable because it’s flatter so my wrists don’t tilt up as much. You get the same effect with the wrist pad, but I don’t really like those all that much. Anyway, thumbs up. Go get yourself one.

I really like those new keyboards. I’ve been thinking about getting one for my iMac G5. You know what the best thing about them is? No food or debris can fall down into them! My old Apple keyboard with the transparent acrylic case is filthy. I can imagine Steve Jobs opening a new keyboard every Monday morning because he couldn’t deal with the filth that had accumulated over the past week. Now nobody has to, because it’s possible to keep that keyboard clean.

Yeah I can see that happening with those keyboards. That’s what I was using before I got this one. One of my coworkers calls this one the ‘chiclet keyboard’ because they look like pieces of gum.
